Video class meets outdoors at a different location every week for two hour sessions, usually followed by a cuppa and cake! We meet Thursdays 10am-12noon and the next course begins 27th February, 2025 and runs through 3rd April, 2025. Sessions run six weeks, this is block three of three blocks of sessions. It's totally okay if you can't make every session. We begin with short exercises in listening and watching, (the sound and vision that is video), taking notes, and the class builds from there. Our notes from these brief beginning exercises combined with beautiful environments, build into longer video and sound works each session. Be prepared to have the way you experience the natural world deepened. Any and no experience levels welcome. You will see, hear, and experience the natural world differently. The cost of the six-week block is £10 total, with all proceeds supporting our partner charity Mearns and Coastal Healthy Living Network. If this fee will prohibit your participation, please get in touch for a bursary.

Nature Writing/Poetry

Nature Writing and Poetry meets over Zoom for a two hour session once a week for six weeks, Wednesday evenings 7-9pm, beginning 26th February running through 2nd April, 2025. We are delighted to welcome writer and participatory arts and nature connection facilitator Linden McMahon, who will run these sessions. They are an inspirational, welcoming teacher who will help you hone in on your experience of the Sublime and capture it in words. Each session will include both poetry and prose. If you have not Zoomed before we will teach you how well in advance and if you don't have an internet connection we will provide you with a dongle so you can join in. No writing experience needed! We meet in a small group online that is a safe, encouraging space to try something new or increase existing skills as we focus on our experience of nature; and how that is impacted by extreme weather. These sessions will build your confidence in a friendly group, heightening the way you experience nature. Sign up here: nature writing/poetry. The cost of the six-week block is £10 total, with all proceeds supporting our partner charity Mearns and Coastal Healthy Living Network. If this fee will prohibit your participation, please get in touch for a bursary.
